Master of Science in Information Security & Assurance: Adjunct Faculty
Description:
The Norwich University College of Graduate & Continuing Studies seeks part time adjunct faculty for the online Master of Science in Information Security and Assurance (MISA) program. Faculty lead seminars, administer and grade assignments and exams, and mentor students in a web-based delivery system.
The MSIA program focuses on the management of IA, IA as a business objective, and information security as a component of a business process. Adjunct faculty are expected to understand the challenge of incorporating security into organizational culture, and will help students learn to bridge the knowledge gap between technicians and management. Norwich University was certified by the NSA as a Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education in 2004, and has been continuously certified by NSA and DHS since that time.
Requirements:
Candidates should have specific expertise in one or more areas of information assurance practice, and should be currently employed in or contributing to the field. Candidates must have a Master’s degree in information systems, information security, information technology management, or a related field. Candidates with an earned doctorate will be given preference. Candidates must possess current certification as a CISSP or CISM, although other high-level non-technical certifications may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Higher education teaching experience, or experience in online instruction, is preferred but not required. Duties can be performed from any location; adjunct faculty are not required to be present on our Vermont campus.
