Strategic Planning, Communications, and Operations - Adjunct Faculty

Description:


Norwich University seeks individuals to teach online courses in the areas of Strategic Planning, Strategic Communication, and Operations & Project Management for students in its Bachelor of Science in Strategic Studies and Defense Analysis (SSDA) degree program. The courses are 3-credit upper-division undergraduate courses and are taught fully online throughout the year in intensive 8-week sessions.

The SSDA program is exclusively designed for active duty, reserve, and National Guard soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines assigned to or retired from the U.S. Special Operations Command and its subordinate and sub-unified commands. The program is offered through Norwich University’s College of Graduate & Continuing Studies.

Individuals hired under this announcement may be eligible to teach other online courses, or to be involved in the development of new online courses, at the discretion of the program managers and the chair of the Department of Continuing Studies.


Requirements:


Minimum of a master’s degree (doctorate preferred) in strategic studies, project management, operations management, or a related discipline from a regionally accredited college or university;

Professional experience in one or more of the course disciplines;

Experience working with adult, part-time, non-traditional students;

Authorization to work for any employer in the U.S.

Experience teaching online at the post-secondary level preferred.
