BS in Strategic Studies & Defense Analysis - Adjunct Faculty - Science & Technology of Visual Augmentation Systems
Norwich University seeks individuals to teach an online course in the Science and Technology of Visual Augmentation Defense Systems for students in its Bachelor of Science in Strategic Studies and Defense Analysis (SSDA) degree program. The course is intended to give students a working knowledge of the science and technology associated with visual augmentation systems; it also covers the physiology of human vision and the phenomenon of perception.
The SSDA program is exclusively designed for active duty, reserve, and National Guard soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines assigned to or retired from the U.S. Special Operations Command and its subordinate and sub-unified commands. The program is offered through Norwich University’s College of Graduate & Continuing Studies.
Individuals hired under this announcement may be eligible to teach other online courses, or to be involved in the development of new online courses, at the discretion of the program managers and the chair of the Department of Continuing Studies.
• Minimum of a master’s degree (doctorate preferred) in physics, engineering, or a related scientific or technical discipline from a regionally accredited college or university;
• Knowledge of the structure and function of visual augmentation technologies;
• Experience working with adult, part-time, non-traditional students;
• Authorization to work for any employer in the U.S.
. Experience teaching online at the post-secondary level preferred.
