Master of Civil Engineering - Adjunct Faculty - Geotechnical Engineering

Description:

The Norwich University College of Graduate & Continuing Studies online Master of Civil Engineering (MCE) program seeks a part-time geotechnical engineering course instructor for our course entitled “Computer Modeling in Geotechnical Engineering and Geotechnical Engineering Case Histories” (course description below). Instructors administer and grade assignments and exams, lead in-class discussions, and mentor students in a web-based delivery system. Experience in on-line instruction is preferred but not required. Both functions can be performed from any location; personnel are not required to be present on our Vermont campus.

Course Description:
Survey of computer methods and applications for analysis of complex geotechnical engineering problems. Finite element, finite difference and closed form solution techniques, modeling applications. Review of select geotechnical engineering case studies.

Qualifications:

Qualifications include an earned doctorate in civil/geotechnical engineering. Candidates with a Master's degree and significant experience will also be considered.
