Assistant Professor of Political Science - American Politics & Public Policy (updated)
The Department of History and Political Science invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position to begin in the spring 2013 semester. Our department will also consider applicants who can begin in the fall of 2013. The successful candidate will teach and research in the fields of American political institutions and public policy and will teach undergraduate courses in Intro to Public Policy, the survey course in American Politics, institutions courses focusing on the Presidency and Legislative Process, Research Methods (with emphasis on quantitative methods), American Citizenship, and a Capstone Senior Seminar in the candidate’s field of expertise. The successful candidate will also manage the Political Science Internship Program. A strong commitment to undergraduate teaching is essential.
To be eligible for appointment at the assistant professor rank, candidates must have a Ph.D. in Political Science. Highly qualified ABDs may be considered for appointment at the instructor level.
