Program Director/Department Chair - Athletic Training Education Program

Description:

Norwich University’s College of Science and Mathematics invites applications for a 9-month, tenure-track position as the ATEP director and chair of sports medicine beginning summer or fall 2014. The Program Director/Department Chair will be responsible for the administrative oversight of the Department of Sports Medicine which includes Athletic Training and Health Science programs.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to, teaching and advising, assessment and revision to program curricula, ensuring compliance with CAATE accreditation standards, advising of students, and overseeing department/program operations and budget, in addition to teaching and advising.

Requirements:

Master’s degree in a closely related field and 7 years clinical athletic training experience; terminal degree in a closely related field, and five years clinical athletic training experience preferred. Good standing with the BOC as a Certified Athletic Trainer with Vermont Licensure (or licensure eligible). Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. In addition, five years of experience as a Program Director, five years teaching experience at the college level, and experience with athletic training entry level master’s programs desired.
