Program Director - Master of Science in Information Security and Assurance

Description:

Norwich University seeks an outstanding professional to serve as the Program Director of the online Master of Science in Information Security and Assurance (MSISA) program. We are seeking a director with demonstrated academic leadership, industry experience, and a desire to build upon and improve an established and respected information assurance program at the graduate level and a newly established Bachelor of Science in Cyber Security (BSCS) program. The MSISA degree may be completed in less than two years and is substantially online while the BSCS degree is an online degree completion program. This is a full-time, non-tenure track position with limited teaching responsibilities with faculty rank contingent upon experience. The initial term of appointment may be for up to two years and subject to ongoing renewal.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain curriculum; oversee the development of new courses and concentrations; continuous improvement of existing curriculum in collaboration with program faculty; interface with external constituents in business, government and the military; monitor enrollments; recruit and evaluate qualified instructors; organize academic events for the annual residency conference; creatively lead and manage students, staff and instructors; periodically teach; actively participate in Norwich University governance and academic life. In addition the Director will be instrumental in building and leading instructional programs in our new Online Virtual Computer Lab (OVCL).

Qualifications:

Doctoral degree in computer science or a related discipline is preferred; candidates with a master’s degree and experience will be considered. CISSP or CISM certification is highly desirable. The successful candidate will have leadership experience, be familiar with industry trends and technologies, possess the knowledge necessary to incorporate new delivery methods, and interest in developing virtual laboratory instruction. Teaching and curriculum development experience are required; experience in distance education with adult learners is desirable. Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
