Internship Coordinator

Description:

Under general direction of Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs, work with Colleges and Schools to improve current internship opportunities and processes, identify and develop new opportunities for student placement in internship and co-ops; assist students in securing placement; obtain evaluations from industry sponsors; create and maintain records of student placement; coordinate with Career Center to ensure students receive assistance with resume and cover letter preparation, interviewing skills, and career counseling; follow through opportunities and contacts identified through the Norwich University Board of Fellows, the Alumni Office, and the College of Graduate & Continuing Studies; create and maintain a database of opportunities; ensure the web page describing internships and co-ops is current and user friendly.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree required, supplemented with two (2) years of related work experience. Candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication, research and interpersonal skills; PC computer skills including word processing, spreadsheet, and database. Must be able to work collaboratively with faculty and external sponsors in various disciplines; work independently and manage time effectively; pay attention to detail and maintain accurate records; and maintain confidentiality.
