Sarah Manacek, MSN, RN, is a registered nurse, lecturer, and clinical instructor for the School of Nursing. She works as a registered nurse in the specialty of Cardiothoracic and Vascular surgery at the University of Vermont Medical Center, where she is collaborating to spearhead a mentorship program.
Sarah earned her BSN from the University of Vermont, and her MSN in Nursing Education from Norwich University. She is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Her scholarship includes nursing education and experiential learning utilizing transformational pedagogy.
Sarah’s academic interests include simulation, technology and informatics in healthcare, health promotion, critical care nursing, and mentorship. Sarah is an active member in the College of Professional Schools’ iPad Initiative, with a focus on integrating iPads into the School of Nursing curriculum. Sarah is dedicated to delivering student-centered education with a focus on utilizing technology and innovation in the classroom.
