Amanda Tepfer received her MS From SUNY Brockport and her PhD in exercise science from Oregon State University.
Her work has focused on physical education teacher education, specifically at the elementary level. Her research interests include examining the role motor skill proficiency has on behavioral self-regulation and early academic achievement, movement-based interventions for young children with disabilities, and pre-service teaching models of inclusion. She is passionate about adapted physical activity, adapted physical education, and adapted sport, believing all individuals should be give the opportunity for sport and recreation, regardless of ability.
