Portrait of Thomas Roberge

Thomas Roberge, PhD, received his BA in physical education from Johnson State College, his MEd in education administration from Saint Michael’s College, and a PhD in educational leadership and sports management from Northcentral University.

Roberge taught high school physical education and health for 14 years before coming to Norwich. He has also coached various sports, from the elementary level through college and semi-professional basketball. Roberge joined the Norwich faculty in 2005 and teaches classes in the areas of PE skill development, secondary pedagogy in PE, and coaching. His research focus includes topics in physical fitness motivation and how teachers and athletes respond to feedback/criticism. Roberge directs the Norwich University Physical Education Program, which offers teacher licensure through the Vermont Agency of Education.
