Robert K. Stockett is a physical sciences technician, chemical hygiene officer, and part-time adjunct faculty member in the College of Science and Mathematics.
He received his BS in chemical engineering from Drexel University in 1979. He is a certified chemical hygiene officer by the National Registry of Certified Chemists. At Norwich, Stockett has helped advance development of computer-based Physics laboratory procedures and data collection systems. He also developed and maintains the Laboratory Chemical Safety Program website, the Chemical Hygiene Plan, and the MSDS and chemical inventory databases. In addition, he serves on the University Safety Committee and is a member of the Risk Management Team. Before joining Norwich University in 2006, Stockett worked in semiconductor manufacturing, specializing in IC microlithography systems and processes. He also conducted research on hazardous waste management in central Vermont with the Environmental Law Foundation, coordinated a study for the Agency of Natural Resources, and worked on a prototype system to sort dry cell batteries by chemical composition for recycling.
