meeting rooms

row of lounge chairsNeed to assemble some sharp minds to strategize a monumental plan? Maybe your club needs a little more elbow room to accommodate a surge in numbers. Whatever your needs, the WCC has designated meeting rooms available that will fit the bill. Wireless Internet access, white boards and plenty of seating and workspace will ensure your gatherings go exactly as planned.

residence life

Traditional students need look no further than the Residence Life Office for opportunities for personal, social, cultural and intellectual growth. From ice cream socials and pizza parties to dances and the Haunted Hay Ride, the Residence Life Office works to keep traditional students engaged in rich experiences found all over the NU campus.

Rook dining hall

table and chairsRooks don’t mess with anyone. Fortunately, the WCC is home to a 300-person capacity dining hall for first-year cadets. The large open space is adorned with paintings from the original Harmon Hall and overlooks the quad to the northeast and the Engineering, Math and Science Complex to the south.

Rook Lounge

row of lounge chairsThe chain of command may dictate a Rook’s life across the campus, but new cadets have a safe haven in the WCC’s Rook Lounge. Comfortable seating and panoramic views make this the perfect spot to get away from the trials and tribulations of Rookdom.

campus center & student activities

Time spent out of class and away from the books is anything but boring on the Norwich campus. Movies, games and all sorts of entertainment are organized by the staff in the Student Activities Office. Swing by the WCC to find out what’s playing, where the fun is at and when it’s happening.more about clubs and activities

Student Government Association

gavelStudents do have a voice — it’s called the Student Government Association. The SGA protects students’ rights and privileges acts as a liaison with other governmental bodies in the University community. Let your voice be heard, get involved, check out the SGA at the WCC.more about Student Government Association

substance abuse education & prevention

Take a look at substance abuse and its impact on your overall health with an assessment. Every new Norwich undergraduate student sees a few skits performed by the Guerilla Theatre Troupe that emphasize what to be on the lookout for during the first six weeks — which is the riskiest period for students adjusting to campus life. The troupe also gives public performances in nearby communities, and is always looking for new talent. If you stop by for help, rest assured that your participation is anonymous, and your privacy is our paramount concern.

volunteer programs

Want to learn about service and give something back to the community? Well stop by the Office of Volunteer Programs to learn about the opportunities to serve that are available to Norwich students, staff and faculty. With volunteer programs occurring as close as Northfield center and as far away as Vietnam, the Office of Volunteer Programs can surely help you find a way to help others.more about volunteer programs
