Cadets & Traditional Students Together

Two Lifestyles. One University.

For 20 years, Cadets and traditional students have shared the same campus at Norwich University, creating one of the most unique college cultures in the nation. While students in The Corps of Cadets participate in intense military training, all of our students benefit from a distinctive and structured learning environment that promotes academic success as well as leadership development.

A Cohesive Team

For the majority of the day, students in both lifestyles are completely integrated. All of our students attend the same classes, play on the same athletic teams and are involved in the same clubs and extracurricular activities. Although Cadets and traditional students have separate residences, a walk through the library, the dining hall or the gymnasium will show all of our students living, learning, working and playing together without regard for the lifestyle choice each student has made.

Are You Norwich?

Our students chose Norwich because it was the best "fit" for them. Ultimately, we find that students from both lifestyles choose Norwich for similar reasons - rigorous academics, a robust athletic program, an unlimited amount of extracurricular activities and a safe environment.

Norwich University is not a place for everyone. We do our best to make sure our students understand the dynamics of the campus before they choose to enroll. Ultimately, the best way to find out if Norwich is the best fit for you is to visit. After spending some time on campus and talking to our current students, you can begin to understand the interaction between our two lifestyles and decide if Norwich is the best place for you to spend your college career.
