Special Interest Clubs
The list of sanctioned clubs at Norwich is driven by student interest. Some groups, like the Pegasus Players, have been established for quite some time and are enthusiastically supported by the faculty, staff, and student body. Other clubs may be less traditional, and are formed to explore the special interests of a small group of students. This event will also serve as major fundraising activity open to all other student clubs. Club activities include: sharing tribal histories, creating regalia and dance pieces, traditional crafts, participating in other collegiate Pow-wows, storytelling, film and book reviews, guest lecturers, grant writing and student tutoring & mentoring. According to the U.S. Department of Defense, Native Americans have the highest rate of service to the U.S. military of any ethnic group. Now we have a voice at Norwich.

Habitat for Humanity
Building a wall and swinging a hammer do not begin to sum up the work of the NU student chapter of Habitat for Humanity. Our chapter strives to introduce the students to the many aspects of the Habitat for Humanity Organization. As a student chapter, we work alongside the local chapters through the selection committee (assisting in choosing the next candidates for a Habitat house), builds (building houses at various stages of the construction process), and fundraising (raising money to be used for future builds through various events, like a dog house build and auction). The involvement of our NU students in the entire process of a Habitat for Humanity project further engages the Norwich students with the community.
