9–11 a.m. Arrival and In-processing

Jackman Hall

University representatives will be available to assist new students with in-processing and answer any questions they might have. At this time students will receive their room assignment and information packet. Refreshments will be available.

10–2 p.m. Bookstore Open

Wise Campus Center, Ground Floor

11–1 p.m. p.m. ID Card Office Open

Wise Campus Center, Room 219

12:30–2:30 p.m. Welcome Luncheon and Information Session

Come and enjoy lunch sponsored by the Student Affairs Department. This is the heart of the student’s introduction to Norwich University. Representative from various departments across campus will inform students of the services they provide.

2:30–3:30 p.m. Library Tour-Tentative

3–6:30 p.m. NU Cadets Men’s Ice Hockey Game

Kreitzberg Arena(Optional)

Cadets vs. St. Anslem’s College
Meet on the steps of the Wise Campus. Orientation Leader staff will escort you to the game.

6–8 p.m. Dinner and Social Time

South Hall-3rd Floor Lounge (Optional for commuters)

Enjoy dinner and social time with your new classmates. Residence Life and Orientation Leader staff will discuss daily life at NU!

8 p.m. Relaxation and Settle-in Time

10–11 a.m. Tour of Campus

Wise Campus Center

A Staff Member will lead new students on a tour of campus, in order to, familiarize new students with academic buildings and student service locations.

10–4 p.m. Bookstore Open

Wise Campus Center, Ground Floor

11–1 p.m. Brunch

Wise Campus Center Dining Room

Residence Life and Orientation Leader staff will meet students following the campus tour for brunch, in order to answer any questions new students may still have.

When you enter the Dining Hall, tell the cashier you are a new student. Your name will be on a list that identifies you as a new student. This will gain you entrance into the Sunday mid-morning and evening meal and Monday breakfast. You must have an ID card made by Monday, January 18, 2010. The ID Card Office is located on the 2nd floor of the Wise Campus Center in Room 219 This will give you access to meals and the library. If you have arranged for money to be applied to your card for use at the Bookstore or the Mill this will be applied at this time. This process takes 15-20 minutes, so plan accordingly.

NU Mailroom Open, Wise Campus Center, Ground Floor Residential students are assigned a mailbox on campus. Please see the Mailroom Attendant to receive your mailbox number and key.
