New Commuter Student
Orientation Schedule Jan. 14 &Jan. 17, 2012
Arrival Day—Saturday, January 14, 2012
9–11 a.m. Arrival and In-processing — Jackman Hall
University representatives will be available to assist new students with in-processing and answer any questions they might have. At this time students will receive their information packet. Refreshments will be available.
10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Arrival and In-processing — Bookstore Open - Wise Campus Center (WCC) Ground Floor
11:30 a.m. - noon Q&A with Johnny & Alanna — WCC, Meeting Room #2
Chat with current commuter students. Here’s your chance to hear what it’s like to be a commuter student at Norwich.
noon - 1:30 p.m. Welcome Luncheon and Information Session — WCC, Abare Rook Dining Room
Come and enjoy a catered lunch sponsored by the Student Affairs Department. This is the heart of the student’s introduction to Norwich University. Representative from various departments across campus will inform students of the services they provide.
1–2:30 p.m. Meeting with Information Technology Dept. — Partridge Hall, Room U114
Our helpful IT staff will make sure you understand how to effectively navigate the campus online resources such as Banner Web, Noodle, my.norwich, etc. This session will help you save time and make your life easier during your future semesters at Norwich.
2:30–3:15 p.m. Orientation Session with the Academic Achievement Center and Kreitzberg Library tour — Kreitzberg Library
New students will be escorted to the Academic Achievement Center by a student leader where they will be given an introduction to the library and the support services the AAC provides.
3:15–4 p.m. Campus Tour — Depart from The Mill (Optional)
Our student staff will take you around campus and help you locate where your classes are and point out the locations of different campus services.
