Army ROTC

Norwich AROTC

The Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) trains students to become commissioned officers in the United States Army. Classroom instruction, physical fitness, and practical exercises are used to develop college students into leaders, capable of leading their fellow Americans efficiently and effectively.

College students enrolled in Army ROTC learn how to succeed in any competitive environment. At Norwich, skills taught in the Army ROTC leadership training program make it one of the nation’s top leadership training programs.

Army ROTC teaches military science both in the classroom and through laboratory instruction. Class meets several times a week, and is coordinated at the registrar’s office into a student’s academic schedule. The Leadership Laboratory is a weekly two-hour period of practical instruction integral to the military science curriculum. The objective is to provide practical experience supporting lessons learned in the classroom to enhance leadership, physical fitness, and military skills training.
