Men's Lacrosse: Springfield 18 Norwich 3
Springfield, MA - Freshman attack Joe Femia came off the bench to score a game-high six goals as the Pride rolled past Pilgrim Lacrosse League-foe Norwich University, 18-3, at Benedum Field.
Attack Drew Ginsberg, midfield Jason Farrell, and midfield Joe Macchi each contributed with two scores in the win. Goalkeeper Tom Albano recorded his first victory of the season, stopping four shots in 45 minutes of action.
Norwich goals came from midfields Kyle Marzeoti, Kyle Rogers, and Chris Pauz’e. Netminder Joe Phelan made 10 saves in 45 minutes of play for the Cadets.
SC improves to 4-7 overall on the season and remains perfect in Pilgrim League play, now at 4-0. The Cadets fall to 1-5 overall on the season and 0-4 in league action.
Norwich is scheduled to play at home on Saturday, April 14, against MIT at 3 pm.
