Men's Lacrosse: Lasell College 19 Norwich 2
Newton, MA - Dan Russo scored four goals, while Jeffrey Scott and Chris LaBreche each added three goals apiece to lead the Lasers to a 19-2 victory over the Cadets in the Pilgrim League opener for both clubs. Lasell (2-2, 1-0) had seven other players score at least one goal, including Dan Abate and Mike Maggio, who each tallied two apiece. Norwich (1-1, 0-1) goals were scored by Colin Smith and Drew Caplin, both unassisted.
Lasell goalie Eric Walsh stopped 20 shots in the win, while Norwich goalkeepers Joe Phelan and Mike Slack combined for 15 saves.
The Cadets will be back in action on Wednesday with a 4:00 p.m. non-conference contest at Green Mountain College. The Lasers also return to action on Wednesday with a non-league game at Roger Williams at 3:30 p.m.
