Men's Lacrosse: Franklin Pierce 23 Norwich 4

Rindge, NH - The Ravens racked up a program-record 23 goals for a 23-4 victory over the Cadets at Sodexho Field. Franklin Pierce goes to 2-4 overall, while Norwich drops to 1-3.

Ryan Boller led Franklin Pierce with a game-high seven points on a team-high five goals and two assists. Michael Wilis and Jason Flanigan were also solid with five points apiece, while Luke Ferreira totaled four points on two goals and two assists.

Sam Glanders registered three points on one goal and two assists to lead Norwich. Drew Caplin added two points on two assists, while Cody Hardenburgh, Colin Smith, and Kyle Marzeoti chipped in with one goal apiece.

Franklin Pierce opened the scoring ten seconds into the match as Boller connected for his first of three first-period goals off a dish from Willis. The Ravens added seven more goals in the half to take an 8-0 lead into the second period.

In the second period, the Ravens extended their lead to 13-2 with a five-goal attack led by Flanigan and Ferreira.

Franklin Pierce tacked on 10 second-half goals, while NU added one goal apiece in the third and fourth periods for the 23-4 final.

Franklin Pierce out-shot Norwich 54 to 20 in the contest. Goaltender Ben Lek made two saves to earn the victory for the Ravens, while Joe Phelan stopped 13 shots for the Cadets.

Norwich will host Castleton State on Thursday at 3 p.m. Franklin Pierce will be in action again tomorrow as it travels to Green Mountain College at 4 p.m.
