Men's Lacrosse: Norwich 8 Emerson 6
Boston, MA - Cody Hardenburgh scored three goals and Drew Caplin added two scores to lead the Cadets to an 8-6 victory over the Lions. Norwich (1-0) led 3-2 at the half and later scored four goals in the final period en route to the victory. Emerson (0-2) was led in scoring by Matt Horowitz with two goals.
Kyle Marzeoti, Kyle Rogers, and Sam Glanders each scored one goal apiece for the Cadets, while Caplin was tops in assists with two.
Norwich outshot Emerson, 39-32. NU netminder Joe Phelan picked up the win with 13 saves, while Emerson goaltender Dean Smollar tallied 15 saves.
Both teams return to action on Saturday. The Cadets will play at Lasell at 1:00 p.m., while the Lions will host UMass-Dartmouth at 6:00 p.m.
