Men's Lacrosse: Babson 22 Norwich 7
Babson Park, MA - Jason Wellemeyer scored four goals to lead the Beavers to a 22-7 Pilgrim League victory. Babson (7-6, 5-3 PL) scored the first four goals and 11 of the first 12 to build a commanding 11-1 lead. Norwich (2-9, 0-8 PL) cut its deficit to 11-3 just before the half, but Babson five more goals in the first five minutes of the second half
Matt Harrington, R.J. Moulton, and Nick Fessenden scored three goals apiece, while Mike Lynch added two. Harrington also dished out four assists.
Drew Caplin, Colin Smith, and John Lighthall each scored two goals for Norwich, while Cody Hardenburgh tallied one score. Caplin also registered two assists.
The Beavers outshot the Cadets, 56-21. Max Owen and Chris Jacobs combined for five Babson saves, while Joe Phelan and Mike Slack teamed up for 18 stops for Norwich.
Norwich will be back in action on Monday with a non-conference game at Green Mountain. Game time is set for 3:00 pm.
