Baseball: Norwich 15 Vermont Tech 7
Randolph Center, VT - The Cadets used a balanced batting attack to post a 15-7 win over the Green Knights, snapping an 11-game losing streak. Seniors Aaron Ward and Chris Pybus closed out their Norwich careers with solid performances. Ward went 3-for-4 at the plate with a double, while Pybus pitched seven innings for the win and batted 2-for-5 with a double.
Norwich took control early, leading 5-2 after four innings. The Cadets then scored two runs in the next three innings for an 11-6 lead after seven. Following a scoreless eighth inning, Norwich posted four runs in the ninth, while VTC could only add one and the Cadets left with the 15-7 win.
NU batters Donovan Brown, Kyle Jolin, and Steven Schlusemeyer each went 2-for-3 at the plate. The Green Knights were led by Kirk Ringey and Asa Manning, who both had three hits apiece with Manning recording a triple and a double.
With the win, the Cadets close out the 2007 season with an overall mark of 6-26.
