Baseball: Cadets Get Their First Win of 2007
Cocoa Beach, FL - Norwich snapped a seven-game losing streak with an 11-9 win over Medaille College in the second of two games to close out the 2007 Florida venture. In the early game, the Cadets lost to Plattsburgh State, 5-3, a much closer result than earlier in the week when the Cardinals won by large margins.
Against Medaille, John Healy went 3-5 at the plate with 2 RBIs, while Aaron Ward went 3-4 with a pair of RBIs. Tim O'Connor and Kyle Przekaza each logged two hits. Norwich pitcher John Healy collected the win.
In the game with Plattsburgh State, Ward had three hits, while Donovan Brown made a pair of hits, including one triple. O'Connor was the losing pitcher.
Norwich returns to Vermont with a 1-7 mark and will next play on Sunday, March 25, in a doubleheader at Albertus Magnus at 1:00 p.m.
