Baseball: Norwich and Emerson Split

Boston, MA - The Lions took the first game of a doubleheader, 5-4, while the Cadets got even in game two with a 14-2 final.

Emerson's Steve Sanda was the winning pitcher in the opener and Norwich hurler Alex Duplessis took the loss. James Ramsay scored three times for the Cadets and went 1-2 at the plate.

In the second game, Norwich pitcher John Healy delivered seven strikeouts over seven innings while giving up only two hits and two runs. NU batters Aaron Ward went 3-5 at the plate with four RBIs, while Donovan Brown and Ramsey each went 2-4. Shane Flanagan took the loss for the Lions.

The Cadets are now 2-8 overall and 1-1 in the GNAC. Norwich will return to the field on Thursday with a home game against Maine-Presque Isle at 3:00 p.m.
