Rooks in the Dog River. Dog River Run: The tradition continues
It’s 8:30 a.m. and Rooks in face paint and camouflage are running along the banks of the Dog River. They get to the worm pits, essentially ditches filled with water, and begin to crawl through as the yells and encouragement of their leaders and cannon fire further down the river echo through the surrounding hills.[more].

Parent and Family Weekend September 28-30
Parents and guardians, join your student for a fun filled weekend on campus. Information on two special events follows!

  • Early Bird Buffet: The NU Parent & Family Association will host a buffet at the Capitol Plaza Hotel on Thursday, September 27, from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Cost for the dinner: adults, $10.00; children 6-12, $5.00; under 6, free. Allen Doyle ’71 Golf Tournament raises funds for hockey
One hundred fifty-nine golfers competed in the 8th Annual Allen Doyle Norwich Hockey Golf Classic on Aug 6, 2007, at the Lake Morey Country Club, in Fairlee, Vermont. Allen and Kate Doyle were in attendance, along with Allen’s father, Joseph, and brother, Jim. The team of Fred Bashara ’63, Lili Cain, Brian Cain, and Richard Bashara came in first, and approximately $20,000 was raised in support of men’s hockey. Major sponsors included John Stabile ’69 (John P Stabile II Family Foundation), Charlie Orcutt ’71 (Preferred Temporaries), Steve Toomey ’71 (Toomey Industries), and Bob Campo (Rock of Ages). NU Hall of Fame Announces Class of 2007
Ten individuals and one team will be inducted into the NU Athletic Hall of Fame on Saturday, September 22, 2007. A reception will take place in Milano Ballroom beginning at 6pm, followed by the Hall of Fame dinner at 7pm.

Mountain Cold Weather logoMCW exhibit featured at Homecoming
The Sullivan Museum and History Center will open a new exhibit Homecoming Weekend recognizing 60 Years of Mountain Cold Weather 1947-2007. Visitors are invited to: learn about the 10th Mountain Division roots of this unique ROTC program; try their hand at knot-tying – an essential skill for climbers and rescue personnel; watch video highlights from recent MCW years; and jot down their own MCW experiences on the interactive bulletin board.

In addition, on Sunday, Sept. 9, there is a full day of events scheduled at the Museum that you won't want to miss!

Engineering, Science & Technology Carreer Fair
Alumni working in the fields of engineering, science, or technology are encouraged to represent their firm at the EST Career Fair on November 7.
