Question of the Month:
In April Norwich lost two of its own in the Global War on Terror: 26-year-old CPT Anthony Palermo, USA '02 and 25-year-old SGT Adam Kennedy, USA '04. If you can recollect any stories about or have any photos of either of these brave young men from when you were at Norwich, or from your time in the service, please send them to @NU, and we will publish them in the June issue. Our hope is to provide the soldiers' family members with some poignant Norwich memories. Send your comments to: pubrel@norwich.edu
April Question of the Month Answers:
We received many responses to our request for name suggestions for the snack bar and pub in the new Wise Campus Center. Read the suggested names. (Please note: Finalists have been chosen and were put to a vote last month. Results will be revealed in the near future.)

Kresge Foundation Challenge update
All alumni and friends of Norwich can help the University meet The Kresge Foundation Challenge. As of March 31, Norwich had received more than $1.44 million in gifts and pledges toward the Challenge.
If Norwich raises $2.2 million in gifts and pledges restricted to the Wise Campus Center by January 1, 2008, the Kresge Foundation of Michigan will award the University a $500,000 grant for the new facility, which will open in August.
Under a second challenge grant, awarded by the George F. and Sybil H. Fuller Foundation, Norwich can receive another $200,000 toward the campus center. The Fuller Foundation will match up to $100,000 in 2007 and $100,000 again in 2008 for every dollar in gifts and pledges that Norwich receives from alumni who graduated since 1986 and who are making their first gift to the University.
Although the Fuller matching grant is restricted to Wise Campus Center, any gift from a first-time donor for scholarships, academic programming, or unrestricted support will count toward the Fuller Foundation Challenge.
To learn about either Challenge, call (802) 485-2307 or email the Office of Institutional Advancement at advancement@norwich.edu.
