Question of the Month:
Many alumni are familiar with the name Kay Bowen. A beloved and faithful University employee, Kay served at Norwich for decades, coming into contact with many thousands of students over the years. Each year, Kay is fondly remembered at the annual Staff Recognition Dinner, when a special award is given out in her name. A history of Kay's time at NU is currently being written by one of our staff members. If you have memories or anecdotes to share about Mrs. Bowen from when you were a student (or faculty or staff member), please send them to @NU. When possible, please include dates of interactions and the position she held at the time. Responses will be published in the next edition of @NU.
Email your stories to pubrel@norwich.edu, and include your name and class year. All submissions will be considered for publication.
Thank you to those who wrote back in response to the August question of the month. Your answers are published here.

The Norwich University Cemetery
There are many for whom "The Hill" is a home away from home, so it is not surprising that some choose Norwich as a final resting place. Known locally as "Dole Farm," the Norwich University Cemetery overlooks the campus and provides a beautiful setting in which to memorialize Norwich graduates, friends of the University, Trustees, Fellows, and other members of the Norwich community.
For more information or to secure a plot, please contact Priscilla Gilbert, Norwich University Cemetery Assn., 158 Harmon Drive, Northfield, VT 05663, 802.485.2742, or pgilbert@Norwich.edu.
The Ernest Harmon Memorial Wall
Inscribed on the wall are the names of alumni, faculty, staff, and friends of Norwich University who have made a significant contribution to the improvement of the institution. The list of names, recorded by year of death, commemorates a commitment to Norwich that has sustained the University in the past and will carry it proudly into the future.
