Question of the Month:

Eating and drinking establishments tend to fall in and out of popularity, as do movie theatres, discos and other nighttime entertainment spots. Depending on what decade you attended Norwich, off-campus destinations varied. Tell us what your favorite off-campus destination was during your years at Norwich, and why. Email your response to pubrel@norwich.edu; please include your name and class year with your submission.

Last month, we asked readers to tell us about the major sports or sports-related events they remember from their undergraduate years. We are pleased to publish them [here].

"Chill the Hill" - Fund drive initiated to air condition new Campus Center
Norwich OGP graduates will receive a mailer this week or next asking for their support of our capital campaign. The OGP portion of this campaign is called "Chill the Hill", and is seeking to raise $500,000 to air condition the new student center. We all like the residency, but we all hated the near-melting conditions at times. Here is a way to help future residency participants. Any questions on the campaign should be directed to the former Dean of OGP, Dr. Fred Snow, at fsnow@norwich.edu.

The Norwich University Cemetery
There are many for whom "The Hill" is a home away from home, so it is not surprising that some choose Norwich as a final resting place. Known locally as "Dole Farm," the Norwich University Cemetery overlooks the campus and provides a beautiful setting in which to memorialize Norwich graduates, friends of the University, Trustees, Fellows, and other members of the Norwich community.

For more information or to secure a plot, please contact Priscilla Gilbert, Norwich University Cemetery Assn., 158 Harmon Drive, Northfield, VT 05663, 802.485.2742, or pgilbert@Norwich.edu.

The Ernest Harmon Memorial Wall
Inscribed on the wall are the names of alumni, faculty, staff, and friends of Norwich University who have made a significant contribution to the improvement of the institution. The list of names, recorded by year of death, commemorates a commitment to Norwich that has sustained the University in the past and will carry it proudly into the future.

For more information about the Harmon Memorial Wall, please contact Priscilla Gilbert, Planned Giving Officer, 158 Harmon Drive, Northfield, Vermont 05663, 802.485.2301, pgilbert@norwich.edu.
