Question of the Month:
We were taken to task, last month, for making too many questions NUCC-specific, so this one's for our traditional civilian alumni to answer: You've no doubt spoken to friends who went to other colleges, and realized how different your experience was. Looking back, do you think your unique identity as a civilian student at Norwich permanently affected any of your attitudes toward the military, cultural diversity, politics, gender relations, civic responsibility, etc.?
Please send your reply to pubrel@norwich.edu.
Our July Question of the Month, “Tell us about your transition from NU to the military,” prompted many responses. |

Norwich ROTC Wins Two AUSA Awards
COL Knoebel and MAJ Lowry of the Army ROTC Department have recently learned that Norwich University ROTC has won two Association of the United States Army (AUSA) Awards: Most Active Company and Best Activities to Assist the Institution and Enhance the Community. Academic Year 2005/2006
NUCC recruits will arrive on campus Saturday, 20 August, followed by traditional civilian freshmen on the 24th. Those returning students who do not have to report early to attend to leadership or athletic responsibilities will not arrive until the following Saturday, with classes to begin on the 29th. Norwich alumni and friends are encouraged to attend freshman send-off events in their area this month (see list below), to encourage and motivate our new students. And if you, yourself, are feeling nostalgic for the academic experience, consider enrolling in an Online Graduate Program (OGP)! OGP students may begin their first semester either in September, December, or March, and Norwich offers great OGP scholarships for alumni.
