Visiting our Northfield, Vermont campus

The campus visit is the most important part of the college selection process. Brochures and view books are informative, but a campus visit brings alive everything you’ve read about and helps you to determine if Norwich is the best place for you to spend the next four years of your life.

Norwich offers a comprehensive and customized visitation program for students and their families. From our day visits to our overnight program to an open house/showcases to our leadership challenge weekend, we provide you with the information you need to determine if you’re a good fit for Norwich and, more importantly, if we’re a good fit for you.

Day Visits

Meet the faculty, interview with the coaches, tour campus and eat in the dining hall with current students. We customize each day visit based on your needs and interests.

Day visits are available virtually any time that fits into your schedule, Monday through Saturday. Information sessions are conducted daily at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., followed by a tour at 11 a.m. or 2 p.m. Other appointments, such as those with faculty, coaches, admissions and financial aid counselors, will be scheduled around these times. To make the most out of your experience, we recommend visiting during the week, while classes are in session and faculty and staff are available to meet with you.

Overnight Visits

Spend the night with a current student in your major and lifestyle of interest, and attend classes the following day The overnight visit is the best way to get a feel for what it’s really like to be a student at Norwich. Our student volunteers are one of your most valuable resources—they live and breathe the Norwich experience daily.

Overnight visits are open to current seniors and second-semester juniors and are arranged on a space-availability basis. A two-week notice is required to allow adequate time to arrange a matching host.

Open Houses

Open houses are a crash course in everything Norwich has to offer. The day begins with a chance to meet with faculty, staff, coaches, Cadets, traditional students, financial planning counselors, ROTC instructors, and more. Participants will take a tour of campus, eat in the Wise Campus Center, and receive a briefing on the admissions and financial aid process.

An overnight visit can be scheduled in conjunction with an open house. Due to space restrictions, reservations are required two weeks in advance.
