    Architecture Students

Architecture + Art — special requirements

The five-year Master of Architecture Program is a four-plus-one model. Students complete their bachelor’s degree in architecture before applying for admission to the one-year master’s program. Students who received their undergraduate degree from another institution are not eligible to apply for admission to the master’s program until they have first obtained their bachelor’s degree through Norwich.

Students applying for the undergraduate architecture program must complete the same admissions process as other new students to the university, with an additional creative component.

    Submission of creative works

Norwich University’s School of Architecture + Art requires a portfolio demonstrating individual expression through artwork and other media. Please follow the requirements carefully:

    Portfolio requirements

    Drawing folder option

In place of a portfolio you may submit a drawing folder as your creative work. These exercises, detailed on pages 3 to 5 of the portfolio requirements, should demonstrate your grasp of composition, observation and spatial relationships. Three drawings should be bound in a folder with your name, mailing address, email address and telephone number as an introductory page.

Visit the School of Architecture + Art site for more information.
