    Sample Day Visit Itinerary

When you visit Norwich, we make sure you have all the appointments you need to answer your questions. The following is a sample itinerary for a high school senior that is interested in the Corps of Cadets, Navy ROTC, playing hockey and studying engineering. We can customize every visit to meet your needs. For more information, contact Tammy at 1-800-468-6679.

    10 a.m.: Information Session
    • Person: Admissions counselor
    • Location: Roberts Hall
    • The information session is a 45 minute presentation about all that Norwich has to offer. Admissions staff take you through every facet of the school, from academics to lifestyle, from athletics to the admissions and financial aid process.
    11: a.m.: Campus Tour
    • Person: Maroon & Gold Key student
    • Location: Roberts Hall
    • Families are guided around campus by current students who volunteer in the Maroon & Gold Key Club. This is a great chance to get your questions answered from a different perspective.
    Noon: Lunch
    • Location: Wise Campus Center
    • At the end of your tour, your guide will take you to lunch on us in the Wise Campus Center.
    1 p.m.: Commandant’s Office
    • Person: Commandant’s Staff
    • Location: Jackman Hall 233
    • Students interested in the Corps of Cadets have the opportunity to meet with the Commandant’s office to gain an overview of the experience.
    2 p.m.: Hockey
    • Person: Coach Matson
    • Location: Andrews Hall
    • Interested in playing a varsity sport? We’ll set up a time for you to meet with the coach of the team you are interested in. If you are interested in more than one, we can accommodate that as well.
    2:30 p.m.: Engineering
    • Person: Engineering professor
    • Location: Partridge Hall 160
    • Academics come first at Norwich. We’ll schedule appointments with a professor in the major you are interested in pursuing to make sure you leave with a thorough understanding of the program and its requirements.
    3 p.m.: Navy
    • Person: Lt. Johnson
    • Location: Plumley Armory
    • Every ROTC program has different requirements and outcomes. Meeting with the different branches on campus is a great way for you to decide which one best meets your goals.
    3:30 p.m.: Admissions interview
    • Person: Admissions counselor
    • Location: Roberts Hall
    • Your final stop is for an admissions interview with a member of our counseling staff. Although an interview is not required for admission to Norwich, we highly recommend it to all students. Not only is it a great way for us to get to know you better, it’s also a chance for you to ask any final questions.
