Please remember that the temperature in Vermont can change rapidly. The winter months require a warm coat, hat and gloves.
Making a good first impression is important during your admissions visit. Please dress appropriately. As an institution with military traditions the wearing of hats indoors is frowned upon. Clothes should be conservative in style and not permit the display of undergarments.
Personal clothing will not bear logos or emblems that would be considered inflammatory or offensive to any group or organization. Foul language, sexually explicit or demeaning comments, racial slurs, and advertisements for alcohol or tobacco products are examples.
Guidelines for Overnight Guests
If you travel to Norwich without your family please call them upon arrival and give them the name and room number of your overnight host.
While visiting Norwich you are a guest and the responsibility of your overnight host.
You are required to obey all university officials to include Cadet and student leaders.
All university policies will be followed including those on alcohol and tobacco. The university has a no tolerance policy for drugs and alcohol.
You may not depart campus without parental and/or guardian consent and the knowledge of admission officials.
In case of an emergency your family may contact the admissions office at (802) 485-2001 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Monday-Friday). After 5 p.m., please call the university Guard Room at (802) 485-2589 or the Campus Security office at (802) 485-2525.
If you are delayed en route or have to cancel your overnight visit for any reason please contact us as soon as possible.
