Camp Director

Lieutenant Colonel Skip Davison is a retired US Army Master Sergeant. During his 20-year career, he served as an Army Recruiter, NCO Academy Instructor, Platoon Sergeant and First Sergeant. His last assignment was with the 7th Infantry Division Light at Fort Ord, California, were he served as the Battalion Operations Sergeant. With a background in military leadership, training, management and marketing, Skip began to work at Oak Ridge Military Academy in North Carolina as an Army JROTC Instructor and Health Teacher, Summer Camp Director, and eventually as the Director of Admissions. Skip and his family moved to Vermont in 1997, where he joined the admissions office as the Director of Recruitment. Skip holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from High Point University in North Carolina.

Operations Officer

Major Guy Boucher entered the Norwich University Corps of Cadets after growing up on Cape Cod in Massachusetts. He spent his senior year at Norwich as the Assistant Varsity Soccer Coach and graduated in 1997 with a degree in Physical Education. Guy spent three years with the US Marine Corps Reserves as a Computer Information Technician while working as a middle school teacher and assistant coach for varsity girls soccer and varsity boys hockey teams. Most recently he worked as the Program Coordinator in Barnstable, MA overseeing the coordination of the communities recreational programs. Guy holds certifications with the American Red Cross for First Aid and is an AED Certified Instructor for Adult, Child and Infant CPR.

Training Officer

Major Alan Chandler comes to Norwich with a strong background in the adventure/experiential education field.  Since receiving his Masters degree in Outdoor Education from Texas A&M University in 2000, he has worked extensively in residential outdoor education facilities from Georgia to New Hampshire. Along the way he has received training in rock climbing, rappelling, wilderness first responder, white water canoeing, and leadership in backcountry travel.  Most recently Maj. Chandler worked as a physical education instructor and coached soccer and baseball for a local high school. As the son of a retired Army Colonel, he was stationed with his family in Kansas, Indonesia, and Texas. He also has exposure to the military lifestyle through dealing with the Corps of Cadets at Texas A&M University as a student and later as an instructor in the physical education department. Major Chandler is an avid outdoorsman in both the winter (skiing, snowshoeing) and the summer (fly fishing, mountain biking, backpacking) and looks for new opportunities to get outside all the time. He and his lovely wife Carrie live in Northfield.
