    Computer Labs

    • Seven labs are available to all students.
    • Students have access to email, Internet, printer, Library systems, and discipline-specific applications.

    Provided to Students

    • Wired (one active port per student) and Wireless access. Norwich recommends the use of wired network access while in the dorm.
    • Free copy of McAfee Enterprise Security Anti-Virus.

    Personal computer Desktop/Laptop minimum requirements

    • Wireless access/Ethernet cable. Norwich recommends each student bring an Ethernet cable with them to campus for use in the dorms.
    • USB drives to store and transport data
    • Printer-USB or locally attached printers only-wireless personal printing is not available. (optional)
    • Contact major for specific software/hardware requirements
    • Windows 7 (recommended)
    • 2.4 GHz processor or equivalent
    • Minimum 4GB of RAM (RAM is a good investment and can significantly improve response time and computer output.) Norwich recommends 8GB of RAM.
    • 250 GB hard drive (Norwich recommends regularly backing up important data to an external source)
    • CD-ROM/DVD re-writable drive (optional)

    Macintosh minimum requirements

    • Mac OS 10.6 (leopard) or higher
    • 2.4 GHz or processor or better

    • Password/usernames sent to students upon acceptance. Please bring account sheets to Norwich.

    • Helpdesk – Available every weekday from 7am to 5pm.
    • NUCERT – Student Computer Repair Center (Free Service)
      • Hardware/software support (limited hardware services available-varies based on the situation)

    Phone Services

    Student Telephone Service

    Each dormitory room has one telephone jack programmed for on-campus calls. Students will be contacted by our student billing company, Netwolves, with a Personal Authorization Code (PAC) necessary for all calls, including toll-free and calls made with a calling card.

    For all telephone rates, review the brochure from Netwolves. Norwich does not provide telephones in dormitory rooms.

    AT&T University Advantage Program

    This university advantage program provides students with a 5 percent discount on their wireless services through AT&T.
    Any student with a valid school ID or email address is eligible for the discount regardless if you are a new or current AT&T customer.

    Program details and availability is subject to change, unlimited voice plans do not qualify and students must be an authorized user on their family plan to qualify for the discount.
