Registrar’s Office New Undergraduate Student Registration

New undergraduate student registration directions

The Registrar’s Office staff congratulates you on selecting Norwich University to assist you in achieving your academic goals. I will have an opportunity to meet with you during your “Orientation” just prior to the start of the fall semester.

You will be registered for the fall semester by the Registrar’s Office. The freshman registration process will begin in June after you have deposited. Your registration will be based on your academic major’s program curriculum map. Curriculum maps can be found in the Programs of study pdf in the Freshman Resources section on this page.

Your registration will also be based on your English and mathematics information that is available at the time of registration. It is important that you take the Math Placement Exam by June 1, or you will be placed in MA005 if your curriculum map requires a math course your first semester at Norwich.

You may keep checking your my.norwich account through June to see your “course schedule” once it has been completed by the Registrar’s Office. During Orientation on Academic Day, you will meet with your assigned academic advisor, review your schedule of courses, and fine tune your schedule by making adjustments through the process of Drop/Adds.

If you are transferring from another college, the Registrar’s Office will take into consideration the transfer credit that Norwich accepts. The academic program chair for your degree program will be consulted on your initial course schedule, which you may fine tune on Academic Day. If you have any questions concerning your transfer credits contact Stephanie Doherty, sdoherty@norwich.edu.

It may be helpful for you to communicate with your assigned advisor or an academic department chair prior to your arrival on campus in the fall. Questions dealing with your major are best addressed by the department chair of your major.

If you plan to use Veteran Benefits to aid in paying for your education and have any questions please contact Sharon Crossett,, scrosset@norwich.edu. Sharon is a Registrar’s Office staff member.
