The Mathematics & Science Showcase is a one-day event that highlights the majors within the School of Mathematics & Sciences at Norwich University. It is your opportunity to meet with faculty and current students in your major, tour our facilities and compete to win scholarship money to attend Norwich.
The next showcase will be Monday, Oct. 8, 2007 and is specifically geared towards high school seniors. To register, phone the admissions office at 1.800.468.6679 or submit the online registration form.
Showcase Itinerary
8:30 a.m. - 10 a.m.: Registration and Norwich On Display
Students and families arrive on campus and register in Milano Ballroom. Faculty from all of the academic disciplines within the Division will be availble to answer your questions about their programs. Students will also have the opportunity to do an admissions interview. A continental breakfast will be provided.
10 a.m. - 11 a.m.: Welcome and admissions briefing
Participants will move to their seats for wecloming remarks and a briefing on the admissions and financial aid process.
11 a.m. - noon: Tour
Participants will be taken on a tour of campus by current students. Particular emphasis will be placed on the Math & Science Complex.
noon - 1 p.m.: Lunch with the faculty
Participants will join the faculty and students for lunch.
1 p.m. - 1:45 p.m.: Majors Showcase
Participants return to the Math and Science Complex to learn more about their majors from faculty and current students.
2 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.: Competitions and additional information
Students will participate in interactive and critical thinking competitions for University scholarships while parents learn more about student life, financial aid and the learning support center.
3:45 p.m. - 4 p.m.: Scholarship Award Ceremony
Students and families are reunited for the scholarship awards ceremony and closing comments.
