Introduction
The majority of library resources, including the library catalog, databases, and electronic journals can be accessed from computers anywhere on campus or from home.
Computer Availability and Location
First Floor
The reference area has seven computers available for patrons performing library research. These computers do not require a Norwich University Network User Name and Password to gain access to the Internet or Kreitzberg Library resources. Please note that these computers do not have the Microsoft Office Suite.
The Library’s Electronic Classroom contains an additional 12 computers available to library patrons. These computers are available when a library instruction class is not in session. The Electronic Classroom usage policies and monthly class schedules are displayed on the walls of the classroom. This classroom is not a Computer Services Lab and not available for scheduling. Please note that a Norwich University User Name and Password are required to gain access to these computers. These computers do have the Microsoft Office Suite and other department specific software loaded on them.
Mezzanine Level
The Mezzanine Level is home to a Computer Services Computer Lab containing nine computers. These computers have the same lab image available on computers across campus. These computers do have the Microsoft Office Suite loaded on them, and dorequire a Norwich University Network User Name and Password to gain access.
The Mezzanine Level also contains one computer station in the Architecture Periodicals section. This computer does not require a Norwich University Network User Name and Password to gain access to the Internet or Kreitzberg Library resources. This computer does have the Microsoft Office Suite and is connected to a color printer and scanner.
Second, Third & Fourth Floors
Each of these floors has one standing computer station available for patrons to do quick searches using our library catalog.
Laser Printing and Scanning
Network printing is available at no cost in the library. Network printers are located on the first floor in the reference area and in the electronic classroom. Another network printer is located on the Mezzanine level in the Computer Services Lab.
There are three scanners located in the library. Two are located in the Library Electronic Classroom on the first floor. The third is attached to the computer in the Architecture Periodicals Section on the Mezzanine level.
Wireless Access
Students can connect to the wireless network at the Kreitzberg Library. Visit http://cleanme.norwich.edu for more information on the steps that must be taken before accessing the wireless network.
Connecting Your Laptop
There are currently 19 network ports available for you to connect to the Norwich Network. Here are their locations, all of which are also marked with signs:
