Terms of Use
The model shop is a well-equipped, but small, shop. Just inside the door is a rack containing eight pairs of safety glasses. Safety glasses must be worn by students working in the shop. Hence, the capacity of the shop is eight students at a time. As a consequence, it is an excellent idea to plan as far ahead as possible any work necessary to complete a project on time. Since safety is paramount, it is unacceptable for a student to come to the shop with other than a serious and focused attitude. Students who have not had adequate sleep or are more intent in goofing off need not enter. The model shop is NOT a place for a charrette! All students who are serious about developing skills of craftsmenship, who are willing to learn and ask questions, and who are able to exhibit an uncompromised focus on what they are doing are welcome.
