Spend a day exploring the architecture program at Norwich University during our fall showcase Monday, Oct. 12, 2009. Compete for scholarship money ranging from $2000-$5000 per year towards your studies at Norwich.

9–10 a.m.: Arrival and Registration
Arrival, Registration, NU on Display, admissions interviews with counselors. Coffee, tea, danish, etc. As well, there will be a display of work of the School of Architecture and Art and students and faculty from the school to speak with. Interviews will be held from 9–10 a.m.
10–10:50 a.m.: Information Session
Learn more about Norwich University, the application and financial aid process, sports programs and ROTC programs.
11 a.m.–noon: Campus Tour
A campus tour will leave from Roberts Hall.
noon–1p.m.: Lunch (Milano Ballroom)
Students and families have lunch with architecture students and faculty.
1–1:30 p.m.: Architecture Info Session (Chaplin Hall)
Students and families are given an introduction to the architecture program at Norwich, including a description of the 5 year plus one summer Master of Architecture Degree, accreditation, professional programs of architecture and licensure of architects.
1:30–3:30 p.m.: STUDENTS ONLY—Design Competition (Chaplin 301)
Students compete in a design competition to earn scholarship money. All materials will be provided.
1:30–2:30 p.m.: PARENTS ONLY—Free Time
While students are in the competition, parents have free time to explore campus, Chaplin Hall or talk informally with architecture students.
2:30–3:30 p.m.: Parent’s session with faculty and students - Architecture Panel (Chaplin Gallery)
Parents attend an open panel with architecture faculty.
3:30–4 p.m.: Building tour
4–4:30 p.m.: Student Panel with prospective students and parents
Students and parents meet up again for an open panel with architecture students.
4:30–5 p.m.: Awards and closing (Chaplin Gallery)
Winner of the $5,000/year scholarship; Runner up $3,000/year scholarship; and Honorable Mention $2,000/year scholarship will be announced. All scholarships are renewable each year with a 3.0 GPA or higher. This is followed by closing comments and the formal end of the Showcase.
