University-provided Initial Uniform Issue

1. All male faculty and staff appointed as officers in the VSM will be issued and shall maintain the following items of uniform apparel:

   1. Belt, web, waist with brass tip and buckle - 1 each

   2. Cap, garrison (overseas) - 1 each

   3. Cap, wool, knit, black (ski) - 1 each

   4. Coat, All-weather, Army black, w/liner - 1 each

   5. Coat, Black wool, or black field jacket style (with liner)

   6. Coat, Class A, Service green - 1 each* with NU shoulder patch

   7. Gloves, black - 1 pair

   8. Insignia and appurtenance:

      • Rank, metal - 4 pair
      • VT - 4 each
      • Regimental Crest - 4 each
      • Shoulder Patch (NU) - 1 each
      • Round VSM discs - 1 pair
      • Black Shoulder Marks, Rank - 2 pair

   9. Name tag, black, plastic - 4 each

   10. Scarf, Army black - 1 each

   11. Shirt, Army green, short sleeve - 3 each

   12. Shirt, Army green, long sleeve - 3 each

   13. Shoes, black, low quarter - 1 pair**

   14. Shoes, Black boot, six inches tall, inclement weather (for new employees AY 09-10 and beyond)

   15. Sweater, Army black pullover or cardigan - select one

   16. Tie, Neck, bow, black - 1 each

   17. Tie, Neck, four-in-hand, black - 1 each

   18. Trousers - 3 pair*

   19. Windbreaker, Army black w/liner - 1 each

   * Individual tailoring is authorized at Dewey’s at University expense.

   ** Maintenance of shoes is a personal expense.

   13. Shirt, Army green, long sleeve - 3 each

   14. Shoe, oxford, black - 1 pair**

   15. Shoes, Black boot, six inches tall, inclement weather (for new employees AY 09-10 and beyond)

   16. Slacks/skirt (any combination NTE 3) - 3 each*

   17. Sweater, Army black pullover or cardigan - select one

   18. Tab, black, shirt - 1 each

   19. Windbreaker, Army black, w/liner - 1 each
