Memorandum 9 - Political Campaigning

Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to control on-campus campaigning of candidates seeking political office.

Policy

It is the University's policy that no political campaigning will be allowed on campus.

Responsibility

The VP of Academic Affair’s Office and Commandant / VP of Student Affairs are responsible for administering this policy.

Implementation/Guidelines

• In general, no political campaigning will be allowed on campus.
• Student campaigns are exempt from this policy. Student campaigns will be regulated by the Dean of Students and Commandant's Office.
• Political candidates may be invited on campus for specific forums. These forums must be approved by the Provost's Office.
