Administrative Memorandum 8 - Employee Recognition and Honoring of Retiring Personnel
Purpose
To recognize employees who have served the University 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, or 45 years, and honor those who are retiring.
Policy
Annually the University will arrange an event honoring employees who have served the University 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 or 45 years, and also honor those who are retiring. This is the single event the University will have for the purpose.
Responsibility
The Human Resources will be responsible for insuring that qualifying employees are recognized and honored.

Other Recognition
Offices, departments, divisions, etc., are authorized to have any type of function they desire honoring personnel from their functional area. These farewells are not an official University function. They are a division, department, or office function.

Invitations
Invitations for offices, departments and divisions functions should be limited to the local area. Widespread invitations and solicitations to alumni and friends require approval by the President's Office.
