first Norwich service trip to Haiti © April 19, 2013, Norwich University Office of Communications

A slideshow of photographs from Norwich University’s spring-break trip to Haiti showcases a range of moods and settings.

The six students and two staff members visited cities and jungles and saw evidence of joy, poverty and the natural disasters that have plagued the Caribbean country.

This is the first of three trips planned for Haiti by NUVisions, a program organized through Norwich’s Center for Civic Engagement, which creates service-learning travel opportunities for students. This trip was designed to establish relationships and assess where students can do the most good.

Photographs and video were captured by students during the trip.
