The fall semester at Norwich University’s Northfield, Vt., campus begins in late August, and barely pauses for breath until the winter holiday.

In addition to new students, new classes and Rooks adjusting to the rigors of life in the Corps of Cadets, Autumn 2011 brought unexpected challenges. Just as the school was welcoming one of the largest classes in its 192-year history, the entire state was forced to respond to the destruction of Tropical Storm Irene.

This is the fourth and final video in the Seasons of Norwich series, in which we hope to capture the beauty and feel of the diverse New England seasons as they color and drive life on campus of the country’s oldest private military college.
