Norwich University Shock Platoon entertains Mountain Soldiers
In the early morning hours of September 8th, the 20th Annual Congress of the International Federation of Mountain Soldiers convened in Stowe, VT.
The International Federation of Mountain Soldiers is a nine-nation organization which represents more than 500,000 mountain soldier veterans, many of whom fought on opposing sides during World War II. Of the approximately 150 attendees at the event in Stowe, there were representatives from France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, and Chile.
The three-day conference culminated with a parade at the Trapp Family Lodge. Leading the procession was the Norwich University Regimental Drill Team - Shock Platoon, as commanded by the Regimental Drill Master, Cadet Master Sergeant Joseph O’ Reilly.

Under the supervision of Command Sergeant Major Max McIntyre, the Shock Platoon provides color guards, firing parties, exhibition details, and other aspects of drill and ceremonies for Norwich University and surrounding areas.
