IEEE Computer Society's Distinguished Visitor Program

The Green Mountain Chapter of the IEEE Computer Society has announced a speaking tour at five colleges by Robert Gezelter, a member of the IEEE Computer Society’s Distinguished Visitor Program. The stops on the tour are open to all members of the IEEE Computer Society, as well as to the general public. The stops on this tour are Dartmouth College, the University of Vermont, St. Michael's College, Champlain College, and Norwich University.

At Norwich University on September 29 at 1:15 PM in Dewey Room 303, Robert Gezelter will give a presentation on the, "Implications of Recent Legal Changes on System Management and Information Assurance."

Recent US laws have focused attention on ensuring the integrity of accounting and information systems. These laws have raised technical issues as well as the obvious legal and managerial issues. This talk explores technical approaches that may be used to ensure the integrity of computer systems and networks -- and by implication, the data managed and the results produced by these systems.

If you would like to attend this presentation, please RSVP to Professor Mich Kabay at mkabay@norwich.edu.

This tour is made possible by the generous support of each of the colleges as well as the IEEE Computer Society Distinguished Visitors Program.
