Student to present research at Information Assurance conference
Karthik Raman, a junior majoring in Computer Science, will be a presenter at the 6th Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc. (IEEE) Information Assurance Workshop, June 15-17, at the USMA at West Point, New York.
Raman, who received the additional honor of being awarded a scholarship to attend the conference, will present his IS406 research on visualization and sonorization of network attack signatures.
"I'm looking forward to meeting security professionals at this conference and exchanging ideas," said Raman. "I know my research in network attack sonorization will benefit greatly."
The IEEE, a non-profit, technical professional association of more than 360,000 individual members in approximately 175 countries, sponsors more than 300 major conferences a year.
"We are proud to have Karthik representing Norwich at this scholarly conference," said Raman's advisor, Professor Mich Kabay.
